A great idea! Now I just gotta figure out how to get my stuff here the easy way. I just finished indexing 300+ pieces on the AMC site, but not uploading -- their system is way too clumsy. And I was gonna do stuff on Facebook, but that's all painful, too.

Do you have an automated way to get MP3s directly from another server rather than uploading on my capped 128K line? Our should I read some document I'm not reading?

No there's no automated way. But you can just post the URL. I'd prefer that actually... since that doesn't take up our disk space! It's at the bottom of Add Music - Add music from another website. It lets you add a URL and then you add the track info.

Well here's a few thousand to get you guys rolling. The script is still running and don't worry, this is not how it's going to work. This is a preview of what we can do now that I have the data. Man I had no idea so many people who don't post shit here have uploaded so much music!

And obviously I have character encoding issues (sorry if you've got a track that ends up garbled), but that's not the hard part, the hard part is done! They sure don't make it easy here!

I also now see that this listing is playlists from members, so if they've 'added' an MP3 to their page the MP3 will get listed twice. Sorry about the Hash nonsense, I'm not smoking it, it's a Perl error of sorts when the user didn't input their data as Ning expected.

Getting pretty close to being finished soon, again, this is just a teaser, and kinda fun to play with, it's the beginning of something cool to play with! It's just the data.

You're the 'bomb'! (btw - except for the latest upload, none of my earlier uploaded works has "by Steve Moshier" since the 'player' heading says "My Music", should I go back and add "by Steve Moshier" to them?)

That means that either your info in the MP3 header or the info you input when you added the MP3 didn't have that information. The Hash thing means the data was empty. You can try going back and editing the data for the track. Don't add the 'by' thing. I just added that to the stupid listing so that it at least made a little sense.
