Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of 'Anthropogenic Global ...
Apparently the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (aka Hadley CRU) got hacked and thousands of emails from US and UK climate scientists were exposed - plotting how to skew the data to enforce the human-caused global warming story.
Interesting and a bit alarming. At least a story to keep your eyes on...
The planet's temperature curve rose sharply for almost 30 years, as global temperatures increased by an average of 0.7 degrees Celsius (1.25 degrees Fahrenheit) from the 1970s to the late 1990s. "At present, however, the warming is taking a break," confirms meteorologist Mojib Latif of the Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences in the northern German city of Kiel. Latif, one of Germany's best-known climatologists, says that the temperature curve has reached a plateau. "There can be no argument about that," he says. "We have to face that fact."
Starting to look like it was an 'insider' who leaked the emails. And I think that the emails are very, very interesting, from the hacking the Chinese data, to hacking the tree ring data and the denial of the giant Middle Ages heat wave.
I've been worried for a while that this climate change fanaticism was going to taint our slow change to a green world economy by focussing on carbon emissions at the cost of pollution control. China is polluting the oceans on a unprecendented level. There are dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean that are growing fantastically large. These we know are preventable.
