Thanks Ben. But thank the poet (Christian Prigent) even more; his reading was the real inspiration, I just added the sequins and spotlights... (Hey, is that a treble, alto or baritone golf club you're holding? ;-)
Thanks for the nice complement Ben. I think Desiccant may be my best piece - well most favorite anyway.
I'm not sure about the Zappa question right off the bat - can you transcribe exactly what he said or maybe snip that part of the interview and send an mp3. Also, do you know what year the interview happened?
Glad you liked the piece. It actually ends with an octave, but since their sines it sounds like a single note. Yes, Csound certainly has a learning curve, and because it is code-oriented it tends to appeal to programmers like me. OTOH, it's more powerful than anything else out there, and it has some nice graphical font-ends (like blue, which I use) that help a lot.
Hi very kind of you, I started listening to your tracks, but had to rush off to work. I enjoyed what I heard very much, but will return to give a proper listen. Its a great site there is so much music that is really interesting.
Welcome Ben - I just listened to your two "songs". I especially liked The Golden Rule - which I listened to twice - with the little glissando resolution at the end. Are your pieces performable by humans - or (like mine) just by computers.
