Hello Charles: I'm writing on behalf of Musica Sacra, a chamber chorus based in Cambridge, MA. We performed your piece "Nowell" and would like to distribute it electronically (i.e. let people download an aif file of our performance.) Can you let me know how we could go about getting permission to do this? Many thanks, Kate
Hi Charles,
I'm writing to request permission to use my 7/24 improv that used a couple snippets from your improv from the same day for the IF+1 album project.
Please let me know; thanks!

Had a listen to your Improvisation for Bells. Very nice. Your bio says you are doing music for church. Do you see this being played as part of a service? If you have played it during church, what was the reaction? I have always though this sort of bell choir music would be ideal for a prelude.
Have you tried to adapt chorale tunes to minimalist/post-minimalist forms? I have been looking for folks who may have tried this to see their technique...
imagine a twisted wave of light bulb EM noise processed though an electric mandolin and several multieffects stompboxes strung together in a room full of wrong color lava lamps...
You can request the Hovhannes on Iowa Public Radio's "Classical Music By Request" 7-10 pm Monday-Thursday, and 7-8 pm Fridays (Central time). Listen online here. The number and email for the program are listed on the schedule. I suspect they still have the Hovhannes in their library. If you do request it, let me know!

The shakuhachi and toy piano snagged me; a belated welcome, Charles. And you should be linking up with Philip Gelb, too!
Just finished three new pieces for hand-chime choir and an anthem for my senior church choir. We began rehearsing the latter last night, and it's going to fly...
Riley Lee is fantastic. I met him very briefly once (not that he'd remember!) when I was working at the Australian music centre. I'd love to try the shakuhachi sometime. Not sure if my classical flute training would hinder more than it would help though...

Could you repost the link to your piece 'She Dances for Love'? I tried to download but the link was busted...
Thanks,

Listened to and enjoyed "Sigfreid Scales an Alp". The horns sounded great.
Sigfreid sounds very Wagnerian - any connection?
