Profile Information

short bio
Claude Marc Bourget was born in 1956 in Montreal. Autodidact, he became known in 1982 with his appearance at Musak Noise Sound Festival (Montreal's Vehicule Art Gallery), where several experimental artists from Montreal and New York participated with a concert for improvised solo piano and recorded piece, entitled Resonant Tension /prolongation. Shortly after, came the creation and production of Erdro Erdrosed, Contemporary Improv & recording system for piano, acoustic guitar, percussions, 3 tape recorders and 3 technicians. A more complex and better structured version, Erdro Erdrosed II (for 6 tape recorders working live in a multiple re-injection system), will be created in 1983 at the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal. 1983 marks Claude Marc Bourget joining the Ensemble de Musique Improvisée de Montréal (E.M.I.M.). He presents a solo concert at the Montreal Jazz Festival. After a tour in France with the E.M.I.M. (Paris, Metz, Nancy), he suddenly puts a stop to concerts. Since 1985, he is devoted to literature. 2006 marks his return to composing and improvisation.

Thank you for your encouragement, Benjamin. I am generally a more music jazz (between jazz and classic modernity, to the truth), presented on my site (a second cd released in February 2010), but I use NetNewMusic to publicize more contemporary portions of my work. I am going to put online today another room to the piano: Nixes.

Thank you to you. It is an improvised music in detail, but with respect to cells from the live recording system. This is a writing that says "play" or "does not play, then she gives advice on the dynamics (piano, forte, etc.) It also provides information on backing tracks in. In fact, all that is the container is written. On which the content is "free". I wrote it in 1982-83 and I created the work in Montreal, Museum of Contemporary Art.

I liked the "ERDRO ERROSED II" the 2nd extrait, the writing for piano is really good!
