We're going to start with a listening stroll through the historic warehouse district which is going through a great bland-ization and return to Solar Culture, primed for listening where Jeph Jerman's set will be underway followed by Sun Circle...
On Monday, Nov. 16, the venue hosts Sun Circle (from Vermont and Montana), which Solar Culture's Web site describes as "ecstatic high-volume drones, long-form trance music and peace noise." Opening at 9 p.m. are Jeph Jerman and Glenn Weyant. Admis...
--- Is that Chaco?
I'm pretty sure it is. I picked it off a Web site. Not 100%.
I met Margaret Randall at a seminar in Oklahoma and her poetry about Chaco and assorted dwellings is wonderful.

Are yer kiddin'? I LOVE those Carvel ads! The Connecticut TV stations ran them all the time. And any Carvel stand always figured in giving directions to someone (drive east on 25A, take a right at the Carvel stand after the Chevy dealership). Tom Carvel: the gruff anyman. And don't forget: Fudgy the whale and the Christmastime Santa cake come from the same mold!
Ha ha thank you for your kind words. Coincidentally I listened to and enjoyed Queen Bees just the other day - I think you choice of field recorders was a good one . . . in December I got the Dynasonic PDr. It's cool too, but yours looks way more versatile! Nice work thanks!
I was poking around in the Groups, when I saw your post about recording the sound of a swarm of killer bees. You said you might post that sound file. So I came over here looking for it. I thought the track "Queen Bees and Blue Dots" might be it. I realize it's not, but man, that's a cool piece! All those sounds rising up out of the environment ... So natural. Loved it.
By the way, did you ever post the killer bee recording?
Cheers Glenn; yeah, just found it yesterday having chased up that tip that imperfect silence had been played on DaveX's show... he'd linked here off startling monniker. Pretty cool place, this..
Anyways, wasa little disappointed that his archived version of the show had a goodly chunk of the beginning missing so I didnt catch which section of the comp he'd played.. ah well... Glad to see you here too..
