- I'm a composer-pianist with many experimental works, the majority in verbally-based notation, exploring new methods of indeterminacy, aleatoric choices, performer improvisatory freedoms, and composer-performer collaboration. Four of my pieces are on YouTube; many others have been performed in concert, recorded, and broadcast. I studied in the doctoral program in music composition at the University of Chicago, but have substantially moved away from the fixed-form traditionally notated compositions I was creating at that time. The stylistic results from the scores I write today can greatly vary, and draw upon a diversity of musical influences.
