Peter Stevens is an award winning composer and pianist living in Seattle, Washington. His works include music for two pianos and percussion, choral music, mixed chamber, string quartet, percussion ensemble, electronic media and solo piano. He has written works for many great performers, and performs his own piano works and the works of others as a member of the Seattle Pianist Collective. His compositions reflect influences from contemporary art, literature, extensive travels and ethnomusicology.
Thanks for the encouragement. I enjoyed your music. I wish I had half your feel for writing for piano. It really rings. What is the origin of the the subtitle "Christmas in the Sahara?" You have a wonderful sense of what to take from late romantic harmony, and when to take it someplace different. The florid piano opening of Equus is really lovely.
