I've never really seen piccolo as a chamber instrument. Percussion would give you some versatility as the ensemble might get a tad dull after 7 minutes or so (sound/timbre wise).

Robert McClure is originally from Toledo, Ohio. He completed a B.M.A. in Music Education at Bowling Green State University as a percussionist studying under Dr. Roger Schupp. He completed a M.M. in Composition at the University of Arizona studying under Dr. Craig Walsh and Daniel Asia. many thanks for kind words about Ursprung/Gläntor! It has been performed by several ensembles. Last year in Ohio by the OSU School of Music's Percussion Ensemble! Now I have a new piece that Kroumata premiered recently. It's called Raster and scored for 4 players and MaxMSP.
