SALVATORE DI BIASE CURRICULUM VITAE Salvatore Di Biase was born in Naples in 1968 and there he began studying piano. He attended the Biennial Course of Composition with Franco Donatoni at the Civic School of Music in Milan and then in the same town he studied composition under the guidance of Sandro Gorli and Umberto Rotondi at the Conservatory "G. Verdi". He graduated with distinction in Experimental Composition at the Conservatory "S. Pietro a Majella" in Naples under Enrico Renna and he got a final degree with brilliant score at the University of D.A.M.S. in Bologna with Loris Azzaroni and Mario Baroni. Recently he has achieved, with the maximum notes and praise, the Academic Diploma of II level in Theory and Techniques of the Music Composition, directed by Enrico Renna at the Conservatory "S. Pietro to Majella" in Naples. Meanwhile he specialized in "Musical Computer Science : planning and composition" at the University of the Studies in Pisa, sponsorized by the CNUCE Institute and the Consortium Pisa Researches. At the moment, his works are published by the Bèrben Publishing. Among his more meaningful musical compositions performed in Italy and in foreign countries we have to recall: Tokk. … ata? for piano solo; Anonimie for vc. e pf.; Va' … cante for vc.; Parva res for small orchestra. With All'opra Pà … su, all'Opra for voice recitante and small ensemble, he won the selection sponsorized by the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli within the review "The Magic Music Through The Fable." He also won awards in the following composition competitions: In 2005: · INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION - 4° Concorso Internazionale Castello di Belveglio, leaded by Marcello Abbado, (1st prize).. · XIII INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION Città di Cortemilia – Premio Vittoria Caffa Righetti - Cuneo, (3nd prize, 1st prize not assigned). Respighi” - Composizione (2nd prize). · Honorable Mention in the composition of the hymn for the Italian Merchant Marine competition He is professor at the I. C. Novaro Naples helding position of “Instrumental Figure” responsible of scholarship program (senior staff) He has established and coordinates the school network " PERCORSI CONGIUNTI " with the following mission: "To reinforce and promote lifelong learning, linguistic and cultural diversity, mobility and the engagement of European citizens, in particular the young." [European Commission, Directorates-General ], it is aimed at cooperation and sharing with local institution, regional and European in synergy with educational agencies involved in order to achieve artistic and educational properly prepared performances.

Thanks for connecting - I enjoy your music and have the utmost respect for you teacher Donatoni. I played 'Omar' for vibraphone about 10 years ago when information about him was scarce in the USA
