Ylva Lund Bergner was born 1981 in Lund, a town in the south of Sweden and began to study composition 2001 on Gotland School of Music Composition after some years of piano studying. She has been studying composition for four years at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm with the teachers Pär Lindgren, William Brunson and Lars Ekström. 2005/06 she was taking lessons with Fabio Cifariello Ciardi at Conservatorio di Musica in Perugia, Italy. The year ended with a concert at Teatro Morlacchi in Perugia with the city's Symphony Orchestra. Now she has moved to Copenhagen to start at the Royal Music Conservatory. Ylva Lund Bergner has done both electronic and chamber music. 2007-08 she wrote a piece for orchestra. Now she is working on three projects: a piano piece, music for choir and a little something for the ensemble Curious Chamber Players.
