Nazareno Ferruggio was born in 1981. He started the play piano at age of six years old with Flavio Peconio.
Having gradueted with full marks, full honours and distinction from the Niccolo Piccini State Conservatoire of music in Bari in the class of Pierluigi Camicia and on a post-graduated course from the Musikhochschule Mannheim (Germany) in the class of Ragna Schirmer, he finished his studies in the Musikhochschule Bern (Switzerland) with Rada Petkova.
He had Masterclasses also with prestigious teachers like J. Achucarro, K. H. Kaemmerling and Jerome Lowenthal, J. Soriano, S. Perticaroli.
At the age of seventeen he performed with Orchestra sinfonica of Bari the Beethoven 's Fantasy for choir and orchestra op. 80.
He has achieved remarkable success in many national and international competitions. These include Premio Argento, Premio Citta' di Moncalieri, Premio Rossomandi, Torneo Internazionale della Musica, Premio Rovere d' oro.
He won in 2005 the prestigious Piano International Competition Ibla Grand Prize with best prize for Debussy 's pieces.
In 2006 he had his debut in the Weill Hall of Carnegie Hall in New York and he performed concerts also in Little Rock( Arkansas), in U.S.A.
In 2007 he received the Liszt Special Prize at the 8th Grieg international piano competition.
In 2008 he won the fifth Prize and the Rotary- Stipendium at the Pianale Academy in Fulda ( Germany).
In 2009 he won the first Prize at the International piano competition” Citta’ di Valentino” and the first Prize at International piano competition” Citta’ di Fasano”.
He performed in many european cities like Venezia(Palazzo Lavia), Rome (Chiesa Anglicana), Bari, Lecce( Teatro Paisiello), Ascoli Piceno, Marseille( France), Mannheim, Heidelberg, Hildesheim, Wiesbaden (Germany), Berna (Switzerland), Innsbruck(Austria), Oslo (Norway)ect...
In 2007 he had a big tournee' in Indonesia where he gave also Masterclass, he performed recitals in Jakarta and Surabaya.
In 2008 he did his debut in Wiener Saal in Salzburg.
He studies a Master now with Prof. Stanislav Pochekin at Liceu- Conservatori in Barcelona.

I have composed three works for piano solo - "Tremors and Quakes", "Prismatic
Blues" and this last year, "if the beat was a princess, I'd marry it". I have also written two works which require specific electronics software, and which I
performed myself ("Chromotoy II") and "Chromotoy III" which I did the live elec. with a pianist playing the notes. Do you perform much contemporary music? Is that your interest in the NewMusic Net?
