Thanks, Steve. I don't really do much in the way of algorithmic composition, except for a couple of pieces that use cellular automata. This one is not algorithmic at all. I know that this is one of the things that SC is very good at, and I hope to explore it at some point, but what drew me to SC was that 1) it's a higher-level, more expressive language than Csound, and 2) it's designed for real-time use, including live coding. It was great to be able to code something up and start playing with it immediately, a lot more like playing an instrument.

Nice piece Dave! It would be cool if you could start a discussion in the 'Electronic Music' group regarding SuperCollider, algorhithmic composition, and your approach and why you gravitated to these areas in your composing. Yes?
